Presidential Volunteer Service Award
PVSA recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period. This is a highly sought-after award and reflects highly on college applications.
Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service
achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold.
Hours by Award:
Teens (11–15)
Bronze 50 – 74
Silver 75 – 99
Gold 100 +
Young Adults (16-25)
Bronze 100 – 174
Silver 175 – 249
Gold 250+
The age you are as of June 1st of the year you are volunteering is the age used to calculate your hours for this award.
Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and, a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States.
